Racing History Been involved in racing since 1975 when my Dad Ted Preston started racing at Hi-Edge [Buxton Raceway], I first raced Bangers in 1984, have also raced Formula Ministox, Modstox, Legends, BriSCA F1
Best Achievement Winning the Hi Edge big banger points in 1988, also when I won Heat and Final at the first ever new Belle Vue [Kirky Lane] in my BriSCA F1
Biggest Disappointment Being too old to do it all again!!, Worst moment was either breaking some ribs at Buxton or blowing my Chevy up at Belle Vue, not sure which one hurt the most!
Racing Ambitions To never hit the fence at Sheffield again
What do you love about UK Modifieds? The speed, the agility, the acceleration and the noise, and the cost of running them
Favourite Track Used to be Crewe, but at the moment I would say Scunthorpe
Drivers most admired Past drivers would be Harry Keeling no6 Buxton Big Bangers, of the present drivers after racing against him would be Bert Finnikin
Road Car Honda Civic Sport, Ford Galaxie 500 2 door coupe
Comments I have driven lots of race cars since my first race in 1984 and nothing even comes close to one of these Modifieds for the WOW factor!!
