UK Modifieds are oval track race cars that use modern high powered motorcycle engines which produce up to 200bhp, and in a car that weighs only 500kg's this makes them very fast indeed. To a newcomer these cars may look slightly odd at first sight with their flat side panels and unique shape, but this serves to make this class of oval motorsport stand out from the rest together with the amazing high revving roar of the engines when powering round an oval race track.

These cars are a huge hit in the USA where the race division [Modlites/Dwarf Car Racing] is a popular class with racers across the country. With a high power to weight ratio the UK Modifieds provide agility and fast, competitive racing, the performance and 0-60 is extreme!

Cars have been imported from the USA for racing use here in the UK, but drivers are now starting to build their own, the cars are basically a spaceframe chassis with a `stock' body shell bolted on, they are a reasonably priced race division to get involved in and have some fast racing fun. A typical investment of around 7k will see you `on track' and maintenance and transportation costs are extremely economic allowing regular racing on a very modest budget.
